IT IS DONE is a dark, dirty, sexy thriller about the secrets we keep. During a howling windstorm, three strangers are trapped inside a desolate bar in the middle of nowhere. Hank, the bartender, has a dirty mind. Jonas, a man on the run, has a dirty secret. Ruby, marooned at the bar with car trouble, has a dirty job.

This tense and taut site-specific production is performed in the bowels of a Times Square bar with the tunes of Hank Williams running throughout.

America’s Brightest Star, a comedy about a woman with a hidden talent and her small town’s desire for fame, is scheduled to be produced at Railroad Playhouse in Newburgh, New York during the 2011-12 season.

First public reading of AMERICA’S BRIGHTEST STAR

America’s Brightest Star, a new full-length comedy about fame coming to a small town, will have the first public reading at Railroad Playhouse on Saturday, July 2nd at 8:00pm. The reading is directed by Railroad Playhouse Artistic Director Seth Soloway and features Melanie Foster Parsons, Kelly Scanlon, Catia Ojeda, Aaron Davis and Cabot Parsons. Tickets are $10 and there will be a talkback following the reading. For more details check out the Railroad Playhouse website.

Left All Alone, a short play about the world after the “zombie” takeover, will be competing in #serials@theflea, a short play competition featuring The Bats at The Flea Theatre. Five original episodic plays will be performed, and the audience votes on which three will go on to their next installment…next week. It’s fast, furious, and barely in control. Tickets are $10, and the admission price includes a free beer.

A staged reading of BROAD DAYLIGHT will take place on Saturday, April 16th at 2:00pm, as a part of Drama West Fest at the Edendale Library. 2011 West Sunset Boulevard, in Echo Park. The event features multiple short play readings and short film screenings. Admission is free. BROAD DAYLIGHT is directed by Raf Mauro and stars Kyle Clare and Helen Duffy.
