First Public Reading of MAYOR OF THE 85TH FLOOR

MAYOR OF THE 85TH FLOOR, a dark comedic play, will have it’s first full staged reading as part of the Antaeus Theatre Company’s LAB RESULTS: The Antaeus Playwrights Lab Festival.

This dystopian story set in the near (and hopefully avoidable) future is about a young woman who lives among other squatters in the Empire State Building and must decide whether her future is to remain in the building or risk it all to move outside the crumbling city. The reading will be directed by Asaad Kelada. The play is an O’Neill Semifinalist.

Railroad Playhouse, in Newburgh New York, has announced that I will be their first Playwright-in-Residence, effective immediately.  This exciting new regional theater will actively develop new plays, and will nurture relationships with a number of rising playwrights.  The theater officially opens this fall, and the opening festivities will include readings of some of my plays.   They will also develop and premiere the play America’s Brightest Star.
